Atlantic Sapphire, a Norwegian-founded seafood industry innovator, is advancing its sustainability efforts by joining the Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) SolarTogether Program. This move will offset 45% of its total energy consumption with solar power, significantly reducing its electric carbon footprint. Atlantic Sapphire’s pioneering Bluehouse technology has already revolutionized salmon farming. The FPL SolarTogether Program, a voluntary subscription service, allows customers to benefit from solar energy without installing panels, offering fixed monthly subscription costs with escalating bill credits. This partnership supports Atlantic Sapphire’s commitment to environmentally conscious production. The company has also secured necessary permits for constructing its Bluehouse in Homestead, Florida, just south of Miami.
