China-based Astronergy has secured 3 GW of module shipments in tenders from two major Chinese energy giants, State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC) and China Huadian Corporation (CHC). The company claimed 1.57 GW in SPIC’s first 2024 PV module procurement, which totals 12.5 GW, positioning Astronergy as SPIC’s top supplier. This contract spotlights the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of Astronergy’s n-type TOPCon modules, specifically the ASTRO N5 and ASTRO N7 models, slated for SPIC’s national solar projects. Additionally, Astronergy won 1.4 GW in CHC’s 2024 module procurement, part of CHC’s broader 16 GW renewable energy push. According to Astronergy, it has consistently won tenders from CHC since 2023, now totaling over 7 GW. These wins reflect ongoing trust in its technology, supporting China’s clean energy goals, says Astronergy.
