Singapore-based Aslan Energy Capitaland PT Calypte Sugi Power of Indonesia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a large-scale solar power generation hub on Sugi Island in the Riau Islands Province of Indonesia. The project will initially target 1 GW of solar power capacity by Q3 2026, with plans to expand to 2 GW by Q4 2027. The initiative aims to leverage the favorable conditions on Sugi Island for sustainable energy production, positioning the Riau Islands as a significant hub for clean energy development in Indonesia.
