Zelestra is a global renewable energy developer, has completed the 300 MW San Martín Solar Project in La Joya, Arequipa, now Peru’s largest solar plant. Delivered in under 18 months by its in-house EPC team, the project includes 450,000 modules and creates over 900 construction jobs. It generates 830 GWh annually, supplying electricity to 440,000 homes and avoiding 166,549 tons of CO₂ emissions. President Dina Boluarte, Energy Minister Jorge Luis Montero, local leaders, and Zelestra executives joined the inauguration. The plant, run with Kallpa Generacion S.A., helps make Peru’s power supply more stable and varied.Prior to this, Zelestra raised €235 million aimed at accelerating the growth of international renewable projects including San Martín in Peru.
