Argentina headquartered YPF Luz, an electrical generation operator, has launched the first stage of the El Quemado Solar Park, with the first 100 MW now operational in Mendoza. The capacity has been connected to the Argentine Interconnected System (SADI). The project will have a total installed capacity of 305 MW and will be commissioned in stages. More than 80 % of construction is completed. The project is the first renewable energy asset under the RIGI (Renewable Energy Investment Group) framework to become operational. Once completed, the facility will generate electricity equivalent to the consumption of more than 233,000 households in Argentina.

The first 100 MW of YPF Luz’s El Quemado Solar Park has entered operation in Mendoza, with phased expansion planned to reach a total capacity of 305 MW.
