US based TurningPoint Energy and Standard Solar have announced a collaboration to deliver 11.2 MW of community solar across two projects in Kent and Sussex counties, Delaware. The projects are located in Harrington and Bridgeville, consist of two 5.6 MW (DC) single-axis tracker systems designed to generate about 18,875 MWh annually and supply electricity to nearly 1,700 homes. TurningPoint Energy developed the projects, while Standard Solar will own and operate them, with completion scheduled for 2027. The portfolio formed part of TurningPoint Energy’s 2022 plan to invest more than $100 million in Delaware and represented the first partnership between the two companies. Residents and businesses can subscribe without on-site installations, and 15% of bill savings was allocated for low-income customers, alongside community and charitable benefits across the state.
