France-based TotalEnergies has signed two long-term Power Purchase Agreements with Google. The agreement will deliver 1 GW of solar capacity, equivalent to 28 TWh over 15 years, to supply Google’s data centers in Texas. The power will be generated from the Wichita (805 MW) and Mustang Creek (195 MW) projects under development in Texas. Construction of both projects is scheduled to begin in Q2 2026. These PPAs complemented separate gross PPAs of 1.2 GW secured by Clearway to support Google’s data centers across the ERCOT, PJM, and SPP markets. The Wichita and Mustang Creek projects will create several hundred construction jobs and generate tax revenues for local public services. TotalEnergies stated that the agreements represented its largest renewable PPA volume signed in the United States and aligned with its approach to supplying data center electricity, while Google stated that the agreements added new generation to the local grid.
