Carey International Group (CIG), a diversified holding company, has committed $870 million in construction financing for utility-scale energy projects under its CIG energy platform. Construction has officially started, with project execution led by SYMX Energy Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of SYMX Holdings Corporation. SYMX is scheduled to begin delivering solar fields by 2026 to provide affordable electricity to US customers. The projects aim to supply power to the ERCOT market, where utility-scale solar remains the lowest-cost energy generation method. CIG’s Chief Investment Officer stated that these solar assets will help meet increasing demand from data centers, AI, and industrial reshoring. Asset delivery is targeted for the summer of 2026.
