Swift Solar, a US solar technology firm, has announced a partnership with Eni Plenitude to pilot its perovskite tandem modules under utility-scale conditions. The collaboration was positioned as the first phase of a longer validation program that could lead to a future supply arrangement. Eni Plenitude was set to test the modules at one of its utility-scale plants, building on its global solar portfolio and prior growth partnership with Ares Management. The company referenced rapid global utility-scale solar expansion, shorter project timelines compared to thermal generation, and rising electricity demand. Swift’s tandem technology was described as achieving higher efficiencies and offering potential LCOE reductions for new builds and repowering projects. The company also noted its prior relationship with Eni Next and said the pilot would help verify performance and durability as it prepared to scale US manufacturing and align with Eni Plenitude’s 2030 deployment targets.
