Sungrow, a China-based supplier of PV inverters and energy-storage systems, has partnered with Zelestra, a Latin America-focused renewable-energy developer, to deliver inverter solutions for Peru’s 273 MW AC San Martín solar project in Arequipa. The companies said the plant was developed at 2,500 meters altitude and has relied on Sungrow’s 1+ X Modular Inverter to ensure stable operation under harsh desert conditions. Zelestra stated that Sungrow’s technical capability and regional track record has strengthened confidence as the project moved from contract signing to commercial operation in just sixteen months. Sungrow added that the collaboration has supported Peru’s growing solar pipeline and reinforced both companies’ expansion across Latin America.
