Standard Solar, a US-based developer and operator of commercial and community solar, has announced it was working with Wattch to improve energy monitoring and operational efficiency. The collaboration aimed to strengthen observability and dispatchability across Standard Solar’s portfolio. About 370 MW of existing assets were set to be migrated to Wattch’s platform. The platform’s tools included integrated SCADA, remote diagnostics and automated battery controls. Standard Solar chose Wattch for its data quality, control functions, and ease of integration with existing systems. Wattch’s Digital Twin and cloud-based tools were expected to enhance issue detection and performance insights. The platform also supported cost-effective monitoring retrofits. Both companies planned to use the partnership to address operational challenges in solar and storage projects.Standard Solar previously completed a 7.2 MW solar project at the Port of Newark in partnership with PNCT, further expanding its commercial portfolio.
