Standard Solar, a US-based developer, owner and operator of commercial and community PV assets, has acquired a six-project portfolio totaling 28.8 MW from AC Power across New Jersey and Illinois. The community PV portfolio includes projects located on closed landfills and brownfield parcels, converting previously disturbed sites into operational energy installations. Two New Jersey projects totaling about 6 MW are located in Berlin and Freehold and are scheduled for completion in 2027. These New Jersey installations are estimated to generate approximately 7,693 MWh of electricity during their first year of operation. In Illinois, Standard Solar has acquired four projects totaling about 22.8 MW located in South Barrington, Hillsboro and two sites in Lockport. These Illinois installations are expected to generate approximately 33,092 MWh in their first year, with three projects scheduled for completion in 2026. The projects have been developed by AC Power using ballasted racking systems designed to protect landfill caps and maintain existing environmental control systems.
