Onyx Renewables, a national provider of localized energy solutions, has completed four additional solar PV projects for the City of Mesa in partnership with SOLON Corporation. The new installations bring their total installed capacity for the City to about 3.7 MW. The systems are directly interconnected with the City of Mesa Electric Utility. SOLON handled engineering, procurement and construction while the Onyx financed the projects and will operate them long term. The new 2.9 MW builds on 806 kW (DC) delivered in 2022. The installations are expected to generate 130 million kWh over 25 years. The projects enhance grid reliability, improve cost predictability and expand Mesa’s locally generated power portfolio.
