Canada-based SolarBank Corporation, an independent renewable and clean energy project developer, has announced updates on its 6.9 MW (DC) Brooklyn solar project in Nova Scotia, owned by AI Renewable Fund. The total project cost was $13.9 million. SolarBank served as developer and builder, partnering with local firm Trimac Engineering. The project fell under the Nova Scotia Community Solar Program (CSP), Canada’s first, aiming to support 80% renewable energy by 2030. AI Renewable secured two CSP contracts totaling 6.5 MW AC. The project was expected to begin construction in Spring 2026 and be completed by Summer 2026. Interconnection work, permitting, and solar design were planned for 2025.
