US headquartered Solar Insure has announced the launch of SI-Commercial, a warranty solution for commercial solar projects up to 2 MW DC. The company also expanded its Approved Vendor List to include additional inverter manufacturers. SI-Commercial is designed to provide 30 years of panel coverage, 20 years of inverter coverage and parts and labor for covered repairs. The warranty addresses gaps in standard manufacturer warranties. The Approved Vendor List was expanded to include Chint Power Systems, Hoymiles, SMA, SolarEdge, Solis, AP Systems, and Enphase. The company stated that qualification standards related to durability and serviceability were maintained. The warranty includes manufacturer default protection backed by an AM Best A+ rated insurance carrier. Solar Insure stated that the product is intended to align with commercial project lifecycles, ownership structures, and financing requirements, while reducing long-term service exposure for installers and providing coverage continuity for asset owners.
