Sol Systems, an Independent Power Producer (IPP), has announced financial close for the 144 MW (AC) Blossom Solar Project in Morrow County, Ohio, and progress on the 180 MW (AC) Nightfall Solar Project in Uvalde County, Texas. Blossom marks Sol Systems’ first utility-scale solar project in the PJM market and is expected to generate about 279,600 MWh of electricity in its first year. The project will be built across approximately 1,700 acres and could power more than 29,000 homes annually. Nightfall Solar has reached financial close as part of a $334 million transaction, with SOLV Energy selected as EPC contractor. The Texas project is expected to reach commercial operation in 2026 and supply electricity to about 57,935 homes. Together, the two projects represent the first draws from a previously announced construction warehouse facility totaling $634 million. The financing group included BBVA, ING Capital LLC, Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, NAB, Natixis CIB, and NatWest, with tax equity arranged by Raymond James Renewable Energy Investments.
