Hecate Energy Group LLC, a Chicago-headquartered independent energy infrastructure developer, has closed the sale of its Cereza solar and storage project to Savion. The utility-scale facility, offering up to 2 GW of capacity at the Department of Energy’s Hanford Site, has been under Hecate’s development rights since 2024. Under the agreement terms, Savion will lead ongoing development efforts, while Hecate provides necessary support. The deal adds to Hecate’s tally of more than 12 GW in sold projects to third-party buyers. It also boosts the firm’s revenue backlog beyond $686 million. Hecate has developed over five GW of projects that are now under construction or in operation. These efforts represent investments exceeding $6 billion in total value. The company maintains an active pipeline surpassing 47 GW across solar, battery storage, wind, and thermal generation.
