Renogy, a US-based provider of off-grid and mobile energy solutions, has reported independent certification results. According to Frost and Sullivan, ShadowFlux is the world’s first rigid solar panel with cell-level shadow management. The certification was confirmed through independent market research and competitive landscape evaluation conducted by Frost and Sullivan. The ShadowFlux module addresses shading challenges in RVs, boats, overland vehicles, and residential rooftops caused by antennas, trees, rails, or nearby structures. Testing results showed the technology allows unaffected cells to operate during shading instead of reducing output. Under partial shading conditions, ShadowFlux delivered up to 85% higher energy output than conventional rigid panels. Reliability validation was completed with an IECEE CBTL-accredited laboratory using more than 48 extreme tests. These tests included temperature variation, humidity, vibration, and mechanical stress to evaluate long-term durability. The certification marks Renogy’s second world’s first recognition, after its solid-state batteries.
