REI Co-op, a specialty outdoor retailer headquartered near Seattle, has reported climate-related actions undertaken during 2025 across energy, materials and community programs. The company supported local clean energy projects, including a 2.5 MW community solar project in Minnesota, developed by US Solar. It also entered an aggregated virtual power purchase agreement that added 18.5 MW of solar capacity in Texas. REI Co-op also recorded progress on an existing renewable energy project in South Carolina with Ever.green. The company extended a three-year renewable energy certificate purchase with Sol Systems and Nester Hosiery. In Florida, REI Co-op and Sol Systems supported environmental education programs at Florida Atlantic University’s Pine Jog Center. REI Co-op joined the Symbiosis Coalition to support nature-based carbon removal projects. The company also signed a three-year agreement with Ambercycle to purchase recycled polyester materials for its products.
