US based REC Solar, in partnership with Ventura Energy, has completed a 1.73 MW solar project at Farmers Irrigation Company’s Santa Paula site in California. The system includes two rooftop arrays installed on newly constructed reservoir covers as part of a broader shift from a gravity-fed to a pressurized water distribution network. Motive Energy served as the EPC contractor. REC Solar will own and operate the project under 25-year PPA. The installation is expected to generate about $12 million in lifetime energy value and deliver nearly $5 million in net savings, reducing operating costs for member farms across Ventura County.
