Primergy, a global energy solution, has received approval from the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission for the Northern Crescent Solar + Storage project in Faribault County. The facility includes 150 MW of solar power and 50 MW of battery storage. It is among the advanced projects in the MISO queue and aims to start operating by 2028 or earlier. The commission noted Primergy’s extensive community engagement, while local labor and trade organizations also supported the project.The approval allows the project to find buyers for its power and use federal clean energy incentives. Once running, Northern Crescent will add important renewable energy and storage for the Upper Midwest. Primergy’s broader portfolio includes over 10.3 GW of solar and 51.5 GWh of storage.
