Primo Brands, a US-based beverage producer, has energized a 13 MW DC onsite solar project at its Poland Spring facility in Hollis, Maine. Partners Onyx Renewables and PowerFlex collaborated on this ground-mounted array that generates around 18 million kWh of electricity annually. The project has been developed, engineered, and constructed by PowerFlex. Onyx Renewables has financed, owns, and operates the system under a long-term PPA structured with predictable electricity rates. The PV installation is projected to offset more than 7,500 metric tons of COâ‚‚ emissions annually, according to the announcement. The site operates fully behind-the-meter and is designed so that the solar energy generated is consumed directly on site.
