PowerBank Corporation, a Canada-based renewable energy developer, has received approval for $309,720 from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for Elmira Solar Project. This approval comes under the NY-Sun Program for the 2.6 MW project in New York State. When brought online, the Elmira PV system is anticipated to produce sufficient electricity to meet the annual needs of approximately 325 homes. The installation will be operated as a community solar project once completed, supplying electricity to residential and commercial subscribers through local distribution infrastructure. According to the announcement, PowerBank Corporation could receive up to $545,107 through the Inclusive Community Solar Adder stream following programme enrollment.  The project remains subject to receipt of a community solar contract, required permits, third-party financing availability, construction progress and applicable policy conditions.
