Pivot Energy, a Denver-based renewable energy provider, has completed three Illinois community solar projects totaling 13.475 MWac in Peoria, Dover, and Ottawa. The projects were financed, developed, owned, and operated by Pivot Energy under a 15-year renewable energy credit agreement with Tapestry, New York-based global lifestyle brands group. According to Pivot Energy, the three facilities have formed part of a five-project Illinois portfolio scheduled for phased completion through 2030. The operating projects are expected to generate over 23,000 MWh annually, equivalent to electricity use for about 2,500 Illinois households. As per Pivot Energy, workforce development contributions have supported Illinois Central College and HIRE360, while remaining community investments will be distributed as later construction milestones are reached.
