Pivot Energy, a US-based renewable energy independent power producer, has partnered with Sustain Our Future Foundation to allocate $400,000 for community initiatives in Garrett County, Maryland. According to the announcement, the funding has launched a multi-year commitment linked to Pivot Energy’s five-year framework agreement with Microsoft. The agreement has aimed to develop up to 500 MW AC of community-scale PV projects across the US between 2025 and 2029. The first funding round totaling $400,000 has supported Garrett County Community Action Committee and Garrett Soil Conservation District through electrification, weatherization, and flood mitigation initiatives. Additional funding has supported Garrett College wind turbine technician training scholarships, while Clean Compost LLC and All Earth Eco-Tours have received support for composting and environmental education programs.
