Erco Energía, a Medellín-based renewable developer, has delivered the 19.9 MW Pétalo del Norte I project. The facility has used LONGi Hi-MO 7 modules in Norte de Santander, as per Erco Energía. Climate Fund Managers, a Hague-based climate financier, has supported the project under an international model that was reported as the first to reach commercial operation in Latin America. Andina Solar, a Bogotá-based project manager, has overseen construction processes that created 270 direct jobs with notable regional participation. The companies said that the plant is expected to generate about 43 GWh annually and supply more than 32,000 people and avoid approximately 13,000 tons of CO₂. The project has operated under a 15-year PPA and was developed to align with established international standards.
