Otovo, a Norway-based energy services company, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Solar Service Professionals. The acquisition marks Otovo’s entry into California’s residential solar and storage market. Solar Service Professionals, founded in 2017, has built an installed customer base of 38,000 customers across California. The transaction was announced on January 8, 2026, and is scheduled to close in early January, subject to standard closing conditions. Otovo has stated that Solar Service Professionals will be integrated into its growing US service business. The company has also stated that it will work to convert existing SSP customers to its subscription service. Otovo has stated that the transaction is expected to contribute positively to net income in 2026.
