US based Marathon Capital and NorthStar Clean Energy have completed tax equity financing and tax credit sale transactions for the Branch Solar and Genesee Solar projects in Michigan. The Branch Solar project is a 200 MW (AC) facility located in Branch County and represents NorthStar’s largest solar asset to date. The Genesee Solar project is a 41 MW (AC) facility located in Genesee County. Marathon Capital served as financial advisor to NorthStar, supporting the structuring and execution of the financing packages for both projects. The transactions were structured to optimize capital efficiency while supporting NorthStar’s long-term ownership strategy. NorthStar stated the projects demonstrate its ability to move from development through financing into construction and operations.
