California headquartered Nextpower, DESRI has begun deploying NX Horizon Hail Pro™ across more than 2.4 GW of operating solar projects. The projects were located in hail-prone regions across all 50 states. The deployment followed over a decade of partnership. In May 2024 and March 2025, severe hailstorms hit the Midwest site. Hailstones exceeded 1 inch in diameter. Hail Pro™ automatically initiated a 60° hail stow. The action helped prevent damage and maintain operations. The case study outlined intelligent forecasting, automated stow, and real-time visibility to protect asset value at large scale.
