US headquartered Nextpower and Abunayyan Holding have announced the incorporation of their joint venture, Nextpower Arabia, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The partners also announced an advanced solar tracker manufacturing facility in Jeddah to supply utility-scale projects across the Middle East and North Africa. The facility is under construction on a 42,000 square meter site, is expected to open in Q2 2026, and is planned to support up to 12 GW of annual capacity with up to 2,000 jobs. Nextpower Arabia is set to manufacture solar tracking systems and provide yield management and control solutions, supporting regional solar deployment. The joint venture is expected to be funded with about $88 million through equity and debt over two years, aligned with projected regional solar capacity growth exceeding 180 GW by 2030.
