New Energy Equity, a US-based solar developer and owner, has commenced operations of the 7.0 MW DC Moriah Community Solar project in Moriah, New York. The 7.0 MW DC community solar facility will generate over 8.3 million kWh annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of more than 1,200 New York homes. The Adirondack region project will supply electricity to the local utility grid, while National Grid customers in New York may enroll to receive bill credits based on subscribed generation shares. The Moriah project was co-developed with East Side Solar Holdings and has been constructed by Radiance Solar, which provided EPC services. New Energy Equity owns and operates the commissioned asset, and the project adds to its development portfolio exceeding 600 MW across 16 states.
