MN8 Energy LLC, a US-based renewable energy company, has signed a long-term PPA with Meta for the 80 MW Walker Solar project. Under the agreement, Meta will acquire 100% of the project offtake to support US data center electricity demand. The PV facility is under development and is targeted to begin operations by the end of 2026 in Pennsylvania. Electricity generated from the 80 MW PV project is planned to supply the PJM Interconnection, adding domestically produced power to the grid. According to MN8 Energy, the transaction represents the first agreement between the two companies and establishes a long-term procurement arrangement. MN8 Energy has reported approximately 4 GW of operational and under-construction PV projects alongside 1.1 GWh of BESS capacity.
