Limes Renewable Energy has secured the Environmental Qualification Resolution for the Pradera Larga hybrid project in Chile. The development combines 84 MW of solar PV with a 90 MW BESS and was valued at about $150 million. The site is located in Casablanca, where permitting large solar plants is more complex. Limes said the area has rising electricity demand and limited local generation. The company noted that reducing reliance on long transmission lines has lowered PPA-related risks common in northern Chile. Limes is advancing the project toward Ready-to-Build over the next year. The firm also expects approval for its 200 MW BESS Huañil project. Its Chilean pipeline has reached about 180 MW of solar PV and 620 MW of BESS. Limes completed early BESS sale earlier in 2025.
