Korean-led renewable energy investments in the United States included the Lucy Solar Project which has begun construction after a groundbreaking held in Dallas. The 350 MW solar project in Concho County involved $524 million investment and is scheduled to begin operations by mid-2027. It is expected to create about 500 construction jobs and generate around $5 million per year in local property tax revenue. It is designed to produce about 926 GWh of electricity annually, enough to supply roughly 65,000 Texas homes. The project is developed by South Korean and U.S. partners, including Hyundai E&C, KOMIPO, KIND, PIS Fund, Topsun, EIP Asset Management, and High Road Energy Marketing. Power output was contracted through long-term virtual power purchase agreements, with construction handled by Primoris Renewable Energy and long-term operations managed by KOMIPO.
