Canada based Homerun Resources Inc. has signed a letter of intent with Nikolaus Sorg GmbH & Co. KG. The agreement covered the development of a 1,000 tonne-per-day antimony-free solar glass manufacturing plant in Santa Maria Eterna, Belmonte, Bahia, Brazil. SORG is appointed as technology provider and equipment supplier, while Homerun is responsible for local permitting, civil works, utilities, power supply and installation. The project was planned to use electric boosting and antimony-free production processes. A binding contract is expected after completion of a bankable feasibility study and project financing. Homerun and SORG intended to pursue German export credit financing backed by Euler Hermes, alongside potential Brazilian financing from BNDES, with the feasibility study led by DTEC in cooperation with SORG.
