North America's Heliene, Inc., domestic PV manufacturers, has officially inaugurated its new solar PV module manufacturing facility in Rogers, Minnesota, on May 30, 2025. The facility includes Minnesota Line 3, which began operations on April 29 with an annual capacity of 500 MW. This addition raised Heliene’s total US manufacturing capacity to 1.3 GW, including existing lines in Mountain Iron. The Rogers facility is expected to generate over 220 jobs in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Heliene has received $2.3 million in funding from Minnesota DEED through MIF, JCF, and MJSP programs. The company has been producing bifacial, high-efficiency crystalline modules with high domestic content and formed partnerships with US component suppliers to support production. Origami Solar and Heliene signed a multi-year deal for US-made steel frames supporting the new Minnesota Line 3 output.
