Investment holding company, GrandBridge Corporation and PowerBank Corporation signed a co-development agreement to build solar and battery storage projects in Ontario, Canada. The projects will be located within the service territory of GrandBridge Energy. PowerBank will lead project development and construction, while GrandBridge will provide development and construction capital. The partnership will co-own the projects under an 80% ownership stake for GrandBridge and 20% for PowerBank upon financial close.The agreement covers projects with nameplate capacity of 2 MW (AC) or higher within the cities of Brantford and Cambridge, and the Township of North Dumfries and County of Brant. Both companies will collaborate exclusively for a three-year development period to pursue opportunities including Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs), Net Metering, and IESO procurement programs.
