London-based Fuse Energy has raised $70 million in a Series B funding round led by Lowercarbon Capital and Balderton. The investment valued the company at $5 billion. The funding was intended to support expansion of its energy network across multiple global markets. Fuse Energy planned to launch supply operations in the US, Ireland and Spain. The company outlined development plans for up to 1 TW of solar, wind and energy storage projects. It also planned the introduction of a solar-battery kit and a home energy management platform. The company stated that the capital would be used to support international scaling and operational growth.
