Equity Solar Illinois, a solar developer, has completed its first community solar project in Fulton, Illinois. The 3.26 MW Cattail Solar Garden was energized and is expected to supply electricity to more than 560 homes. The project was presented as a step in expanding community access to clean energy across the state. ESI Principal Marcellus H. Moore, Jr. said participation in energy generation has been viewed as essential for both rural and urban residents. He noted that opportunities were being created in rural areas while connections were maintained with urban centers such as Chicago.
