Spain-based Elmya Energy and Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure Ltd have formed Elmantic, a joint venture to develop 4 GW of renewable projects in the United States. The venture is focusing on greenfield solar, wind, and storage projects in ERCOT and WECC markets. Elmya Energy USA, with offices in Austin and Richmond, is expected to expand staff during 2025. Atlantica is a sustainable infrastructure operator with assets across North America, Europe, and South America. Elmantic’s strategy is centered on quality site selection, competitive pricing, and faster development timelines. The joint venture is positioned to address rising U.S. electricity demand and interconnection opportunities.
