Venezuela based CAF approved $110 million to finance the 120 MW Chichas Solar Plant in Bolivia. The project will be developed by ENDE in Tupiza, Potosí, on 110 hectares. It will be the country’s largest solar PV plant. The facility is expected to generate 279,000 MWh annually, supplying about 318,000 people through the National Interconnected System. The project will replace part of the natural gas-based generation and cut around 108,905 tons of CO₂ each year. It aligns with Bolivia’s 2024–2050 expansion plan, which targets 75% renewable energy share by 2032.
