US manufacturer of perovskite technology, Caelux has completed its first commercial shipment of Perovskite Active Glass technology. The delivery supports a project by a major US solar developer and signals the company’s market launch. The glass is paired with silicon modules to form Hybrid Tandem™ units, built with a partner. This two-layer design combines perovskite and silicon to increase efficiency and reduce costs. The technology is compatible with existing silicon platforms. Caelux has claimed it can deliver 30% more power density and 20% more energy output. Project costs could drop by up to 20% compared to conventional modules. It has planned further global expansion and partnerships to scale its technology deployment in commercial solar projects.
