US-based Boviet Solar Technology Co., Ltd. has announced the completion of the exterior construction of its 3.0 GW PV cell manufacturing facility in Greenville, North Carolina. The milestone, which included finishing walls and roofing, was reached on schedule. Construction of the facility started in January 2025. The plant is part of Phase II of Boviet Solar’s North American strategy and is designed to produce high-efficiency N-Type PV cells. Operations are expected to begin in the second half of 2026 with an annual production capacity of 3.0 GW. The new facility complements the company’s 2.0 GW PV module factory in Greenville, which began production in April 2025. Together, both factories will form an integrated US hub for PV cells and modules and are expected to create over 900 local jobs.
