Bila Solar, a US-based solar panel manufacturer, has announced a partnership with Origami Solar, a maker of steel solar module frames. The company is offering U.S.-made steel frames for its 550 W dual-glass module series, which also incorporates U.S.-manufactured solar cells. This design has increased domestic content, strengthened eligibility for federal tax incentives, and improved supply chain security. The modules were developed to limit tariff impacts and reduce risks from price fluctuations, addressing recent increases in import costs. According to Bila Solar, these features have made projects more attractive to investors and lenders. The 550 W steel-framed series is scheduled to be showcased at the RE+ trade show in Las Vegas from September 9 to 12, 2025. Deliveries are expected in the second quarter of 2026.
