California headquartered Avantus has closed financing package exceeding $300 million for the Kitt Solar and Energy Storage Project in Pinal County, Arizona. The financing is arranged with Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) and the New York branch of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). The project, Eloy which includes 100 MW (AC)/ 130 MW (DC) of solar generation capacity and a 400 MWh battery energy storage system. The financing package includes construction funding, tax equity bridge loan and letters of credit. The facility is currently under construction and is expected to reach commercial operation by the end of 2026. Arizona Public Service has signed a power purchase agreement for the project’s electricity supply.RES is providing engineering, procurement and construction services, while Fluence is supplying the Gridstack Pro battery energy storage technology and integration.

More than $300 million financing was secured by Avantus with BBVA and CIBC for the 100 MWac Kitt solar project with 400 MWh storage in Arizona, currently under construction.
