Colombia based The Autoridad Nacional de Licencias Ambientales (ANLA) has granted environmental viability to the Ariguaní 200 MW solar park in Colombia’s Cesar department. The licensing decision followed a technical and environmental assessment that reviewed regulatory compliance, impact identification and proposed management measures. The authority determined that identified impacts were manageable through defined mitigation, compensation and monitoring actions within the Cesar River basin. The project design included provisions to avoid sensitive ecosystems and ensured community participation across the area of influence. The solar plant is developed by Xunergy FV S.A. and located in the municipality of Chiriguaná. The project had a planned capacity of 200 MW and was intended to supply electricity to the national energy system. The approval formed part of a broader licensing process covering multiple non-conventional renewable energy projects approved for future grid contribution.
