Arevon Energy, a US-based renewable energy developer has commenced operations of the 430 MW DC Kelso Solar Project in Missouri. The two-phase facility in Scott County represents an investment exceeding $500 million and is the company’s first utility-scale solar project operating in the state. According to the announcement, the project generates electricity sufficient to supply more than 62,000 homes annually across the region. Arevon developed and constructed the project and will continue owning and operating the facility as part of its expanding US portfolio. Over its operational lifetime, the facility is estimated to generate more than $62 million in property tax payments supporting schools, infrastructure, and emergency services.
