Ameren Missouri has received approval from the Missouri Public Service Commission to acquire a 150-MW solar facility in Cass County, Illinois, which will double the Renewable Solutions program’s size. This program supports organizations across Missouri in increasing their renewable energy usage and provides renewable energy credits. Notable participants include Air Products, bioMérieux, Mastercard, SSM Health, Walmart, and World Wide Technology. The Cass County facility, part of Ameren Missouri’s strategy for affordable and reliable energy, is expected to start generating power by year-end, alongside the 150-MW Boomtown Renewable Energy Center in White County, Illinois.
