AM Green and SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for long-term renewable energy supply. According to the company, SGEL will provide nearly 4.5 GW of carbon-free energy to AM Green’s upcoming green ammonia facilities through solar and wind power, integrated with pumped hydro storage for consistent supply. The project will be executed in three phases, with the first phase delivering 1.5 GW within two years. AM Green aims to produce 5 million tons per annum (MTPA) of green ammonia by 2030, equivalent to about 1 MTPA of green hydrogen, contributing significantly to India’s and Europe’s green hydrogen targets.
