Spectro Alloys, the leading aluminum recycler in the Midwest, has recently partnered with All Energy Solar, Inc. to complete a solar installation for its new 70,000-square-foot distribution center in Rosemount. Specializing in recycling aluminum scrap from old cars and appliances, Spectro saves approximately 95% of the energy required for new aluminum production. Despite its significant energy usage, the decision to go solar was driven by financial considerations, with a breakeven point of 7 years and a 30-year panel warranty ensuring long-term sustainability. Impressed by All Energy Solar’s turnkey services and custom designs, Spectro installed 212 solar panels generating 112 kW of power, offsetting around 50% of the distribution center’s operations.
